We successfully recovered the koli.cz domain name for a traditional Czech soft drinks manufacturer through arbitration proceedings.
The domain had been registered for years by a third party who did not use it, yet demanded several million Czech crowns for its transfer.
We developed a strategy based on protecting our client’s trademark rights and represented the client in proceedings before the Arbitration Court. We demonstrated that the domain holder had no legitimate interest in using the domain and that its registration infringed our client’s rights.
The Arbitration Court upheld our claim and ordered the transfer of the domain to our client. The client thus recovered a key digital asset without having to pay the multi-million-crown asking price.
